Overview:
Abuja Clinics, a leading healthcare institution committed to excellence, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our finance team. As a pivotal member of our organization, you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
- Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, reconciling accounts and preparing financial reports for management.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard financial assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
- Stay abreast of changes in accounting standards and legislation to ensure compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or ACCA certification is preferred.
- Proven experience as a Senior Accountant or in a similar role, preferably in the healthcare sector.
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 4 – 8 years post NYSC experience in accounting with ICAN.
